Greatest Hits Radio announces line-up for live November show
- Headliners Bananarama will be joined by Kim Wilde, Soul II Soul and ABC
- Plus, Greatest Hits Radio’s Martin Kemp will be taking us Back to the Eighties
Later this year [Sunday 24th November] Ken Bruce, Kate Thornton, Simon Mayo, Jenny Powell  and a host of other familiar Greatest Hits Radio faces will be taking over Europe’s biggest indoor arena – Co-op Live in Manchester – for Greatest Hits Radio Live!
And earlier today on his Greatest Hits Radio show, Ken Bruce, announced the line-up of incredible artists who will be celebrating the very best of the 70s, 80s and 90s, decades that defined a musical generation, guaranteeing to party like its 1999 – and of course 1989 and 1979 too!
Joining the already announced ABC and Martin Kemp – who is bringing his Back to the 80s DJ set to Co-op Live – will be our favourite girl band, Bananarama, BRIT Award winner Kim Wilde and legendary R&B collective Soul II Soul.
It’s been anything but a Cruel Summer for Bananarama with original members Sara Dallin and Keren Woodward celebrating the release earlier this year of compilation album Glorious – The Ultimate Collection. With over 30million records sold the band still hold a Guinness World Record for the most chart entries by an all-female group with 32 singles reaching the Top 50 between 1982 and 2009 – that’s Really Sayin’ Something!
Kim Wilde is another record holder as the most charted British female solo act of the 1980s, when she had 17 Top 40 singles including her greatest hits Kids in America, You Keep Me Hangin’ On and You Came.
The Grammy award winning Soul II Soul, led by founder and producer Jazzie B, found fame in the late 80s with two massive back-to-back hits – Keep On Movin and Back to Life. Still festival favourites over three decades on, the band also featured in Disney+ music documentary, Camden, earlier this year.
